With 500 stores and 18 manufacturing sites, it takes the freshest tech to keep it all running.

As a business, we don’t just keep our 500 stores up and running - we’re also the the UK’s 2nd largest fresh food manufacturer with 18 manufacturing sites, too. And that means we have a huge amount of physical space to look after, which is only possible with the freshest, state-of-the-art tech applications, products and services.

And while solutions like these aren’t always the first thing you associate with a retail business, they’re certainly one of the most important parts of our business. And if you’re into tech, they’re also one of the most exciting.

We’re talking everything from large enterprise systems such as our core financials platform (EBS) which ensures our suppliers are paid consistently, accurately and on-time. To bespoke customised applications that we use to manage our billion pound property portfolio. 

Day to day, our Technology Finance and Property team works with stakeholders to explore how we can implement robotic process automation to simplify and speed up our business organisation. They provide the systems that monitor our energy usage so we can meet our corporate responsibility to Climate Change and reduce greenhouse gases and energy usage. And everything in between.

First and foremost, it’s all about making sure our systems are reliable and stable. And it’s also about working closely with our Finance and Property teams and building strong relationships that enable us to listen, learn and respond very quickly when needs arise. 

Being part of the team means driving project delivery, continual improvement, and operational support, while building our systems roadmap in line with the needs of all 500 stores, 18 manufacturing sites, and everywhere else you’ll find us.

And all while putting both our customers and our core values at the heart of every decision we make. Naturally.
