Nutmeg is the team behind our hugely successful clothing range. By providing good value clothes with thoughtful details, we keep customers coming back for more. In fact, we sell more clothes than major high street names and are tenth in the childrenswear market.
Based in Coalville our 60-strong team manages all kinds of fashion ranges for babies, kids and adults. Supplying high quality clothes that are designed for real life, we offer excellent training and development and a variety of roles across our different teams.
Buying - We plan, develop, source and buy our customer-focused clothing ranges. This involves working with all of our teams throughout the buying process, especially design, technical and merchandising.
Design - The design team is fundamental in starting the product development process, they give a clear steer on colour palettes, key shapes and prints that we need to make sure we have in the range and working with our suppliers develop great fabrications and thoughtful details in to our styles. We liase closely with the buying, merchandising and technical functions to discuss sales, supplier interaction and build the ranges together so we are always exceeding our customers expectations in terms of quality and product.
The majority of our garments are designed in house, the same as all our prints and graphics.
Mechandising - We’ve an interesting dual role. We plan and build ranges, and make sure the right stock goes to the right stores. We’re also involved with trading, reacting to how our clothes sell in stores with our merchandisers examining sales performance to maximise profits and minimise markdowns.
Technical - We work alongside the buying, design, merchandising and branch merchandising team to ensure the quality, fit, compliance and safety of the product.
Brand merchandise - It’s up to us to make sure store stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise sales. We work closely with retail to make sure our customers get what they want and enjoy their experience.
Visual merchandising - We’re proud to sell fantastic clothes. So, we want them to look their best. Our visual merchandising team makes sure our ranges are displayed in a way our customers love and works with retail to ensure store standards are met.
Online - We make sure the Nutmeg website looks good, is up to date and delivers a great customer experience with every shopper coming away with what they want.
Retail - Our expert retail team serves our customers and makes sure our clothes all look fantastic in store.
