Accountant - Produce Gadbrook
We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Manufacturing Finance team to support our Produce site in Gadbrook, Cheshire. We are looking for a driven individual with the ability to Finance Business partner the Gadbrook site leadership team. The role will be based on site primarily with the opportunity of remote working where agreed.

Our site at Gadbrook is one of 4 sites across our Produce manufacturing division, specialising in packing a wide range of potatoes for a number of customers. We have recently grown the operation to include prepared potatoes and also cater for the slice and dice market.
The site packs between 800k and 900k packs a week with annual sales in excess of c£50m. As Myton continues to grow with new customers it is pivotal that the finance team support this.
Key responsibilities/accountabilities

Drive business performance through insight of daily and weekly performance, focussing on key KPI’s and metrics to highlight opportunities.

Support operations team to drive efficiencies and cost savings across the factory.

Provide key support to the site operations teams with commercial insight.

Accurate product costings for new business to drive growth across the group

Working with the centralised reporting team on the preparation of accurate site weekly & monthly accounts.

Implement Cost Control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimisation across the manufacturing processes

Working with our sourcing teams to drive margin growth

Monitor and report on inventory levels and ensure accuracy of the values.

Support production of budgets and forecasts.

Play a vital role in the wider Produce Manufacturing Finance team to drive growth.
About you
Personal Requirements

Proven experience as an accountant within manufacturing is desirable.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast -paced environment
-
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Hold a relevant finance qualification CIMA/ACCA etc.

Find an opportunity that's right for you

Online Assessment (Customer Assistant roles)
After your application, we might send you an e-mail and ask you to complete an online assessment. This is typically a situation judgement test where we'll ask you ten questions with mutliple choice answers and takes around 10-15 minutes to complete. The questions will give you a feel for the types of scenarios you might encounter working in our stores - think customer first.

For some of our stores and site roles, if you've been successful with your application we might just e-mail and ask you to book a slot for your interview. For other roles our resourcing team will get in touch with you to find out a bit more about you and why you applied. They'll also answer any questions you might have about us and the role. Interview
Our interviews are typically face to face but can sometimes be virtual. Don't worry, we'll advise either way. Your interview can differ depending on the role or team. Part of the interview may include some competency questions against our Ways of Working (listed below).

Final Stage
With some of our roles there might be a second interveiw. This tends to be for roles in our Head Office and some salaried positions across our stores and sites. As part of this second stage, we might ask you to complete a task, such as a SWOT analysis or something similar, and present it back during the interview. This helps us understand your approach and thinking about the role.
