At Hilmore House, we operate on a 4-day working week, plus 11 Saturdays a year. It’s our way of making sure you have the opportunity to spend time working alongside your team in person, while also spending time studying from home. This isn’t applicable to every scheme.
It’s so important for you to have the chance to kick back and relax, and we want everyone at Morrisons to enjoy a healthy work-life balance. You’ll enjoy at least 30 days of holiday a year (including public holidays) and this increases as you work here for longer.

Life assurance scheme
Life Assurance is more commonly known as a ‘Death in Service’ benefit. It means that all of our colleagues can feel reassured from their first day of permanent employment that if anything were to happen, their family would receive compensation. If you're an active member of the pensions scheme, 'Death in Service Benefit' is four times your annual salary. If you're not a member of the pension scheme, you're still entitled to the benefit at 1 times your annual salary.

We work with Sovereign Health Care to provide an exclusive healthcare cash plan to all of our colleagues. It’s a helping hand towards everyday costs, and it pays out a tax-free cashback on a range of costs including glasses, contact lenses, dental treatment, prescription charges, physiotherapy, and more.
Employee Assistance Programme
You can call the charity Retail Trust for free to get confidential help, support and advice with a range of issues including health, wellbeing, career support, financial issues and bereavement.
Our pension scheme is really great, and all of our colleagues are welcome to join it. Along with a generous company contribution, we invest whatever you contribute to help you save for your future. As a default, we pay the majority and then give you two tier options to choose between. When you pay more, we pay more, too!
Awards for Extended Service
We’re proud that a lot of our colleagues choose to stay at Morrisons in the long run. It’s a loyalty that we know is hard to come by, and it’s part of what makes our working environment so great. And to celebrate this loyalty, we offer service awards. When you reach your 5-year anniversary, you’ll receive a payment. This reoccurs every 5 years after that. If you stay for 25 years, we’ll also arrange a special event and a generous gift. It’s the least we can do.
Wellbeing with Vita Health
Our wellbeing partner Vita Health, offers free and confidential information, advice and support for all our colleagues and households 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on all wellbeing matters including mental and physical health. They also provide a management support helpline Monday to Friday.
Aviva Digital GP
We provide all of our colleagues with access to Aviva Digital GP and the Aviva app, where you can book unlimited video consultations with an NHS-registered private GP or doctor, order repeat NHS prescriptions, and even add any children under the age of 16 to your account for paediatric consultations.
We're working with the team at the UK Addiction Treatment Group to ensure the wellbeing of our colleagues when it comes to addiction and behavioural disorders.
