Retail Graduate Scheme
With nearly 500 friendly stores at the heart of local communities, we’re proud to be able to make good things happen for our customers. And it’s all because we love providing over 9 million customers with good quality fresh food and a great shopping experience they won’t find anywhere else, every week.
Our retail teams deliver a friendly, fresh-focused shopping experience to our customers across the store, from our counters to our customer assistants, and our night colleagues to our home delivery pickers.
On our 2-year programme, you’ll think quickly on your feet at the heart of the action. It’s about helping to keep the store running smoothly and learning what store operation is all about.
As the fast-paced world of retail isn’t 9-5, your role will involve early starts, late finishes, some night shifts and working weekends and Bank Holidays. It’s hard work for sure. But it’s also very rewarding. Every day is different and we’ll support you every step of the way.
So, if you love helping customers, learning to become a brilliant retail manager could be the right fit for you.

What our 2-year scheme involves
You’ll start by working across all areas of the store, gaining a full overview of store operations and systems before undergoing leadership training to support your development towards leading departments of your own.
You will be at the forefront of making our customers feel welcome and ensuring they enjoy their shopping experience at Morrisons, all by getting stuck into a variety of activities that will go beyond 9-5.
Over the two years, you’ll move through rotations across our supermarkets and convenience business, which will focus on building resilience and capability as a future store manager. You’ll also get the opportunity to complete project work within your region to broaden your experience further and prepare you to roll off the scheme as an Operations Manager, where you’ll also have the opportunity to apply for our Store Manager development programme.
