Our Fish processing plant in Grimsby, supplies our in-store ‘Market Street’ Fishmongers with a fantastic range of fresh fish. Since we opened our Grimsby seafood site in September 2012, we’ve been able to exercise direct control over quality and provide an improved customer proposition. Currently processing 10,000 tonnes of seafood a year, we have exciting plans for the plant and look forward to expanding its offering in the future.
With over 50 species of fish available seasonally, we supply our Fishmongers and ultimately our customers with the widest choice possible. We and our Fishmongers check every piece of fish we prepare to make sure that the customer gets the best quality every time, from a whole salmon to a simple fillet.
Recently Morrisons netted the “Seafood Retailer of the Year” trophy for the second year in a row, thanks to its “fantastic, well laid-out” fish counters and “skillful, confident” staff. But we also like to think that the award belongs to the Grimsby site too, for outstanding supply of quality and choice.
