We've got a fantastic opportunities for experienced Team Managers to join our expanding production team at our Flowerworld site in Derby. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will lead your team to successfully deliver your Departments KPI's, drive business performance and customer service.

These are full time permanent positions, we have both day and late shifts available.

Our Flowerworld site is a one of a kind packing and distribution site for all our flowers. Our bouquets are hand crafted by front line colleagues and these bouquets are distributed up and down the country! We pack for all our stores and also third party suppliers. Recently we have launched our own Online business - - so this is a fantastic time to join our business and be part of something new and exciting as it grows!

Here at Morrisons our Team Managers do the following;

  • Coach, develop and lead colleagues & establish a continuous improvement culture
  • Plan & prioritise work & ensuring maximum use of resources.
  • Control levels and accuracy of waste & waste recording including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and potential efficiency; accuracy & waste recording; downtime; product weights; staff efficiency
  • Continuously identify ways to reduce costs & improve standards & efficiency in all areas
  • Achieve the production plan on time and in full and ensure on time in full vehicle departures.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of behaviour, honesty & integrity - develop & support people through coaching and feedback.

What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful Team Manager?

  • Management experience gained in a fast paced manufacturing/ pack house/warehouse/ FMCG environment
  • Proven experience in a people management role with the ability to deliver strong results through the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, report information/findings, develop recommendations, and implement process changes in order to improve operational performance.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills in order to engage motivate and develop large teams with varying skill sets.
  • The ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation and cross-functional teams through the application of effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience of continuous improvement
