We're currently recruiting for a high performing People Advisor to join our People team at our busy Farmer's Boy food manufacturing site in Winsford, Cheshire. Reporting to the People Manager you'll proactively support with all ER issues, offering guidance and coaching to the site leadership teams. Using your extensive knowledge and your experience in a similar role, you'll think creatively in driving the site agenda and performance improvement projects. To be considered for role of People Advisor you'll demonstrate a flexible approach to your work and responsibilities.

Farmer's Boy - Winsford was acquired by Morrisons in 2012 and sits on 12 acres of land. Having undergone extension in 2014 the site now operates 30 production lines, operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week employing 800 colleagues. The site produce over 900 tons / 2 million packs of beef, pork, lamb, mince and burgers per week.

What will I do as a People Advisor at Morrisons?

  • Support, coach and challenge line management with absence, disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Identify development opportunities to improve soft skills and build future talent
  • Lead engaging, proactive communications across the site
  • Build positive and effective relationships with unions and agency suppliers
  • Reinforce the visions and values in all aspects of work and act as a barometer to colleague morale
  • Support and drive colleague engagement on site
  • Cover the People Manager role in their absence
  • Lead a number of the projects on the HR plan
  • Design and Implement effective recruitment solutions
  • Proactively Manage Employee Relations
  • Support the People team with day to day admin tasks

What do I need to be a successful People Advisor?

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast moving HR environment, preferably with manufacturing experience
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards) or equivalent and up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Experience of advising, supporting and coaching managers
  • Proactive approach to continuous business improvements
  • Experience of implementing processes and driving fulfilment
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Union experience
  • Ability to act on own initiative
  • Experience of problem solving tools
  • Project Management Skills would be advantageous
