We're recruiting for an experienced Internal Communications Specialist to join our Internal Communications team at our Head Office in Bradford. Our Internal Communications team is a key function of our business as they keep our colleagues informed, knowledgeable and engaged with the business. Reporting to the Communication Manager you will build relationships with and advise internal stakeholders on ways to effectively communicate messages.

What will I do as a Communications Specialist at Morrisons?

  • Developing internal communication messages and plans to support the engagement and understanding of colleagues.
  • Work to ensure our colleagues across the company have access to the information they need to do their roles, and understand the information relevant to them and their customers
  • You will plan, draft and edit messages and content to deliver internal communications projects.
  • Communicate plans and priorities, making sure they are effective, efficient and on budget and messages are consistent with the strategy, tone of voice and brand.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to build relationships and provide communication consultancy and coaching
  • Communicate throughout the business to support colleague engagement and understanding

What do I need to be a successful Communications Specialist at Morrisons?

  • Experience of leading internal communication programmes couple with proven agency, supplier and budget management
  • You'll be a great listener and a creative thinker, able to translate and communicate complex messages simply and effectively
  • Able to respond to business briefs with well-thought through plan and/or campaign ideas
  • A strong communicator with excellent writing skills
  • You will be proactive with a hands-on, hardworking approach with very strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Able to build strong relationships and through an inquisitive mind, develop messages and conversations using stories to explain, inspire and engage colleagues

We work with the business to communicate news, information, strategy, change programmes and store is to our 115,000 collleagues across our stores, manufacturing sites, distribution centres and head office.
